World of Warcraft is set to enhance player experience with the introduction of campsites, customizable backgrounds for the character select screens. In the upcoming Patch 11.1, fans can look forward to collecting four new campsites, with additional ones planned for future updates.
Blizzard has revealed new personalization options for the Warband's character select screen in World of Warcraft Patch 11.1. This update introduces multiple camps for characters, which players can customize with names and unlockable backgrounds.
With Patch 11.1 now available on the World of Warcraft Public Test Realm, players have gained insights into this innovative system, including the first batch of backgrounds and their acquisition methods. In addition to the original Warbands character selection screen named Adventurer’s Rest, Patch 11.1 introduces four new campsites: Ohn’ahran Overlook, Cultists’ Quay, Freywold Spring, and Gallagio Grand Gallery. Content creator MrGM has already provided a helpful video showcasing these campsites and their unlock methods.
| Campsite | Description | Unlock Method |
|---|---|---|
| Ohn'ahran Overlook | Centaur camp in the Ohn'ahran Plains | Logging in after Patch 11.1 |
| Freywold Spring | Hot spring in Freywold Village, Isle of Dorn | "All That Khaz" completion meta-achievement from The War Within |
| Cultists' Quay | Nightfall Sanctum Delve in Hallowfall | Season 2 Delver's Journey |
| Gallagio Grand Gallery | Gallywix's casino in Undermine | "Racing to a Revolution" completion meta-achievement from Undermined |
| Adventurer's Rest | Original Warbands campsite | Default |
The Ohn’ahran Overlook, inspired by the Ohn'ahran Plains from Dragonflight, is automatically granted upon logging in post-Patch 11.1. The Cultists’ Quay, located in the Nightfall Sanctum Delve in Hallowfall, can be earned through the Delver’s Journey for Season 2. Meanwhile, Freywold Spring from the village of the same name and the Gallagio Grand Gallery, featured in the new raid, Liberation of Undermine, are unlocked by completing the "All That Khaz" and "Racing to a Revolution" meta-achievements, respectively.
Players can explore and unlock these campsites via a new tab in the Collections pane, providing an easy way to preview and manage their collection. On the character select screen, a dedicated tab at the top allows users to choose their preferred campsite or opt for a random selection from their favorites each time they log in.
These customizable character selection screens build upon the Warbands system introduced in World of Warcraft: The War Within, showcasing Blizzard's commitment to ongoing innovation. Fans can anticipate unlocking more campsites alongside mounts, pets, and other collectibles in future updates, potentially from new content, old areas, holiday events, the Trading Post, and even the cash shop.
