War Thunder's Firebirds Update: New Aircraft and More!

Gaijin Entertainment has announced the upcoming Firebirds update for War Thunder, arriving in early November. This major update introduces a host of new aircraft, ground vehicles, and warships, significantly expanding the game's content.

New Aircraft Take Flight

Among the exciting additions are iconic aircraft such as the American F-117A Nighthawk, the Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber, and the powerful F-15E Strike Eagle.

The F-117A Nighthawk, a pioneer in stealth technology, boasts a unique design and radar-absorbing materials to evade detection. Its angular shape and specialized coatings deflect radar waves, making it a formidable ghost in the skies. This aircraft's legendary performance in Operation Desert Storm, completing over 1,200 combat sorties without a single loss, speaks for itself.

The F-15E Strike Eagle, on the other hand, emphasizes raw power. An enhanced version of the classic F-15, the Strike Eagle carries a significantly increased payload and features ground target detection radar. Players will have access to a wide array of weaponry, including AGM-65 Maverick missiles, laser-guided bombs, JDAMs, and even the GBU-39 satellite-guided bombs (twenty at a time!).

Beyond the Skies

The Firebirds update extends beyond aircraft. Ground forces receive reinforcements with the addition of vehicles such as the British FV107 Scimitar light tank and the French Dunkerque battleship.

The Aces High season continues to offer exciting rewards. Players can unlock unique vehicles, trophies, and other rewards by completing the season and Battle Pass. This includes aircraft like the Bf 109 G-14, F2G-1, and La-11, as well as powerful platoons (T54E2 and G6) and ships (HMS Orion and USS Billfish).
