Looking back on the year? Snapchat's new 2024 Snap Recap feature offers a fun and easy way to revisit your 2024 memories. Unlike detailed statistical recaps seen in other apps, Snap Recap presents a curated selection of your Snaps, one for each month.

What is Snap Recap?

New for 2024, Snap Recap compiles your year's Snapchat content into a short video montage. Instead of focusing on statistics, it highlights a single Snap from each month, offering a nostalgic look back at your year. The recap seamlessly transitions into the Memories feature, allowing you to explore further flashbacks from previous years.

How to Access Your 2024 Snap Recap

Accessing your recap is simple. On the main camera screen, swipe upwards (as you would to access Memories). You'll find your 2024 Snap Recap prominently displayed as a highlighted video.

Tap the recap video (avoiding the share icon) to play. The recap automatically scrolls through your selected Snaps. You can tap the screen to advance more quickly. Like any other Snap, you can save, edit, share, or add it to your Story.

Why Don't I Have a Recap?

If your Snap Recap isn't appearing, don't worry. Snapchat Support indicates a staggered rollout. Your recap may simply not be generated yet. The frequency of your Snap usage also plays a role; consistent use and saved Snaps increase the likelihood of receiving a recap. Unfortunately, if it doesn't appear after waiting, requesting a recap isn't possible.
