Honedge Family Debuts in Pokémon Go Ultra Unlock

Following the excitement of hunting Hisuian Zorua through time distortions, Pokémon Go announces its next Ultra Unlock event. Steel and Scales launches on July 22nd, introducing the sharp-edged Honedge evolutionary line making their anticipated Pokémon Go debut.

The event delivers impressive bonuses including 4x XP and Stardust from catches, plus increased Shiny odds for Bagon, Beldum, and Unown U in raids. But these aren't even the most exciting rewards players can expect.

For competitive trainers, Honedge and its evolutions will become available through Go Battle League rewards. During the event at Rank 6 (or Rank 16 afterwards), these sword-wielding Pokémon appear as encounter rewards - with boosted chances via premium tracks.

The wild spawn pool focuses on steel-type and dragon-like Pokémon, featuring Magnemite, Dratini, Aron, Noibat, and Ferroseed with increased frequency. Keen-eyed trainers might encounter Shiny Rookidee for the first time, while rare finds like Axew and Goomy present exciting hunting challenges.

Raid rotations get a strategic update with Honedge joining One-Star raids alongside Unown U, Gible, Klink, and Deino. Three-Star raids showcase Skarmory, Bisharp, Dragalge, and Turtonator - several with potential Shiny variants worth targeting.
