As reported by Eurogamer on December 20th, Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E. is a top-down multiplayer arcade shooter. This title, as detailed on Eden Online's website, expands upon the Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix Netflix series, incorporating familiar Ubisoft franchises like Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed.

Limited Access and NFT Integration

The game features classic online competitive multiplayer but with a unique twist: only 10,000 players can participate. Access is granted through the purchase of an NFT Niji Warrior ID card from Ubisoft's dedicated claim page for $25.63. This card functions as a player's Citizen ID, tracking in-game achievements and evolving based on performance. Citizens can also relinquish their citizenship and resell their IDs, potentially increasing their value based on in-game success.

Game Launch and Early Access

According to Ubisoft's Magic Eden page, the full game launch is scheduled for Q1 2025. However, early access is available to those who have already secured their Citizen ID cards.

A Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Spinoff

Captain Laserhawk Setting

The game's foundation lies in the Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix Netflix series, an animated spin-off of Far Cry 3's Blood Dragon DLC. Set in an alternate 1992 where the US is a technocracy known as Eden, the series follows Dolph Laserhawk, a supersoldier, and his tumultuous journey.

While Ubisoft has remained tight-lipped about the game's narrative, it's confirmed to share the same universe, placing players as citizens of Eden. Player actions, such as mission completion and community engagement, will influence the game's storyline and leaderboard rankings.
