Ubisoft Confirms More “Driver” Projects After Cancelation of Show Adaptation

Ubisoft has officially confirmed to Game File that the live-action Driver TV series adaptation is no longer in production. Initially announced in 2021 for exclusive streaming on Binge.com, the project was part of Ubisoft's broader strategy "to bring our games to life in new and exciting ways," as stated by Ubisoft Film & Television head Danielle Kreinik.

The collaboration ended due to the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a movie-related subsidiary (named after the Driver protagonist), in January. A Ubisoft spokesperson confirmed to Game File, "We are no longer moving forward with our partnership with Binge for a Driver series."

However, Ubisoft has confirmed that it continues to actively develop "other exciting projects related to the franchise," promising future announcements. Specific details about these projects remain undisclosed, so keep an eye out for future Driver news!
