Tides of Annihilation: a beautiful action game announced

Tides of Annihilation, drawing inspiration from Arthurian legend, casts players as Gwendolyn, a young woman battling alongside spectral knights to rescue her family and mend a fractured world.

The game unfolds in a ravaged, modern-day London, overrun by a mysterious otherworldly invasion. Players will confront waves of enemies alongside their ghostly allies, facing the primary threat: colossal, roaming knights that must be vanquished through daring climbs and intense combat.

While visually impressive, the game's narrative unfortunately lacks a compelling hook. Recent soulslike titles have successfully reimagined classic stories—the Western unfamiliarity with "Journey to the West" and the unexpected twist on Pinocchio in Lies of P are prime examples. However, the Arthurian legend feels overused, leaving Tides of Annihilation, despite its visual appeal, without a unique selling point.
