Tears of Themis Drops the Ballad of the Dunes Event with New MR Cards

HoYoverse has just released an exciting new update for *Tears of Themis* titled "Ballad of the Dunes." This update features a unique collaboration event with Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism, bringing the ancient charm of Dunhuang into the world of detective gaming. This crossover event merges the allure of mystery-solving with the rich cultural heritage of a city on the edge of the Gobi Desert, offering players a journey through time and culture.

What Does Ballad of the Dunes Bring to Tears of Themis?

The "Ballad of the Dunes" event is a fascinating blend of history, romance, and mystery, set against the backdrop of the ancient Silk Road. Players will dive into an immersive experience, solving mysteries amidst the historical ambiance of Dunhuang. Here’s what you can expect from this event:

• New MR Cards: The event introduces four new Memory Resonance (MR) cards, each featuring one of the main characters - Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius. These cards are inspired by various elements of Dunhuang’s rich culture, showcasing flying apsaras, intricate murals, and the iconic pipa played in the traditional style seen in the Mogao Caves. This event celebrates the cultural melting pot that was the Silk Road during the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD).
• Unique Stories: Each card has its own story to tell. Luke's card is called "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's is "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's is "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's is "Void of Creation." These stories are complemented by Private Messages that delve into a journey spanning a thousand years.

What Are the Rewards?

Running from February 13th to February 20th, 2025, the "Ballad of the Dunes" event offers players the chance to earn Camel Bells, S-Chips, and a variety of other rewards by completing event tasks. The main challenge involves flipping cells on a game board to uncover these rewards.

• Ultimate Prize: The highlight of the event is the pack of Ballad of the Dunes MR cards. Players can choose one of the four MR cards as their final reward in each round.
• Special Reward: Flip 100 cells, and you’ll unlock the exclusive "Celebration – Dunes" Namecard.
