T-1000 gameplay trailer for MK1 brings more references to the Terminator 2 movie

NetherRealm Studios and WB Games have just dropped the official gameplay trailer for the much-anticipated addition to *Mortal Kombat 1*: the T-1000. This iconic character from the Terminator series will be joining the roster next Tuesday, bringing a unique twist to the game's mechanics. The T-1000's ability to transform into liquid metal allows him to creatively dodge projectiles, making him a formidable opponent and likely a fan favorite, especially for those who enjoyed playing as Kabal in previous iterations. While Kabal isn't making an appearance in MK1, fans will be thrilled to see some of his signature weapons and moves integrated into the game.

The trailer also pays homage to the legendary film *Terminator 2: Judgment Day*. It features a recreation of the iconic scene where T-1000 wags his finger—a gesture famously banned in the NBA for being unsportsmanlike conduct. Additionally, there's a fun nod to the film where T-1000 inquires if Johnny Cage has seen John Connor, blending the worlds of Mortal Kombat and Terminator seamlessly.

Alongside T-1000, the trailer introduced Madam Bo, who will also be added to the game. The T-1000's Fatality showcases his liquid metal capabilities, allowing him to change his appearance and replace his victim, embodying the efficiency of a machine on a mission.

No further announcements were made by WB Games, but rumors are swirling that this might be the final wave of new content for *Mortal Kombat 1*. Speculation suggests that a new game announcement could be on the horizon, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
