Sybo\'s new game Subway Surfers City stealth-drops into soft launch on iOS and Android

Author:Kristen Update:Feb 24,2025

Sybo Games has quietly released a new mobile title, Subway Surfers City, on iOS and Android. This soft launch currently targets select regions, offering players a sneak peek at the updated game.

The game promises enhanced graphics and incorporates many features developed over the original Subway Surfers' long lifespan. While hands-on impressions are pending, app store listings reveal familiar characters from the original, along with newer additions like hoverboards, and significantly improved visuals.

Currently, the iOS soft launch includes the UK, Canada, Denmark, Indonesia, Netherlands, and the Philippines. Android users in Denmark and the Philippines can also access the game.

A Bold Move?

Creating a sequel to their flagship title is a strategic gamble for Sybo. The original Subway Surfers, while immensely popular, shows its age, particularly with its aging Unity engine. The stealth launch approach is intriguing, especially considering the game's global prominence.

Early player reaction to Subway Surfers City will be key, and a wider release date is eagerly anticipated. Hopefully, it will meet, and exceed, expectations.
