Supercell, the studio behind global hits like Clash of Clans and Brawl Stars, has quietly unveiled its newest project: Boat Game. Currently recruiting for its first alpha test, this intriguing title promises a unique gameplay experience.

The announcement, initially a subtle teaser trailer shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Supercell community manager Frame, is now available on YouTube (see below).

Interested in joining the alpha test? Sign up here. Keep in mind that participation is limited, and Supercell is seeking a diverse group of testers.

What Kind of Game is Boat Game?

The trailer showcases a captivating blend of third-person shooting and boat combat. Players navigate treacherous waters, dodging cannon fire and engaging in intense naval battles. The action extends beyond the sea; the footage also depicts island-based combat, suggesting a pirate-themed, run-and-gun element. Some more surreal scenes hint at a possible battle royale mode, leaving the exact genre a tantalizing mystery. Watch the trailer and decide for yourself!

Rumors of a Supercell third-person shooter project codenamed "boatgame" circulated last year, and this new title seems to align with those whispers. However, given Supercell's history of quickly launching and shelving games that don't meet expectations, the game's long-term future remains uncertain.

Despite the uncertainty, the intriguing combination of land and sea combat makes Boat Game a project worth watching. Visit the official website for the latest updates.
