Super Mario Party Jamboree Passes Incredible Sales Milestone

Super Mario Party Jamboree Reigns Supreme in Japan's Nintendo Sales Charts

Super Mario Party Jamboree achieved remarkable success, securing the top spot on Japan's best-selling Nintendo game charts for the week of December 30, 2024, to January 5, 2025. This follows its strong critical and commercial reception both domestically and internationally since its October 2024 launch.

The family-friendly multiplayer title surpassed numerous high-profile releases to claim the number one position. Jamboree's innovative approach, featuring new game boards, modes, and characters alongside classic gameplay refinements, has resonated with both seasoned and new Mario Party fans. Its extensive character roster and inclusion of multiplayer modes supporting up to 20 players have garnered significant praise. This Japanese triumph follows its earlier success in the US, where it topped the sales charts in October 2024.

Famitsu, a prominent Japanese gaming news source, reported Jamboree's impressive sales figures. With a total of 1,071,568 units sold in Japan by January 5th, 2025, including 117,307 units sold during the aforementioned week, it significantly outperformed competitors like Mario & Luigi: Brothership and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Its weekly sales even eclipsed those of several all-time best-selling Nintendo Switch titles, including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
