Star Wars: Hunters Announces Shutdown Even Before Turning One!

The announcement of the shutdown of Star Wars: Hunters before it even completes a year of service is a bittersweet moment for its community. When Is the Star Wars: Hunters Shutdown?

The servers for Star Wars: Hunters are scheduled to shut down on October 1st, 2025, marking the end of the game's journey after just nine months since its launch. Players have until April 15th to wrap up Season 5.

Zynga, the game's developer and publisher, is rolling out a final content update on April 15th. This update will introduce Tuya, a new Support Hunter, available for free. In-game purchases will be disabled on the same day, so spend your Crystals wisely as there will be no refunds.

Ranked Mode will remain active until the servers go offline, and events from the season will be rerun, giving players one last chance to enjoy the game's content.

It Isn’t Shocking

The shutdown of Star Wars: Hunters may not come as a surprise to many. The game faced numerous challenges from the start. Announced in 2020, it suffered multiple delays, and beta tests were limited to the SEA and ANZAC regions. The lack of major console support and a lukewarm reception didn't help its case.

In terms of design, the game missed an opportunity to capitalize on the rich tapestry of the Star Wars universe. Instead of featuring iconic characters, it opted for generic original ones, which might have contributed to its lack of appeal.
