Oscar Isaac's Star Wars Celebration 2025 Appearance Fuels Poe Dameron Return Speculation

Sequel Trilogy star Oscar Isaac's confirmed appearance at Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Tokyo (April 18-20) has ignited fervent speculation about a potential return of his character, Poe Dameron. The announcement, made via the official Star Wars Celebration Instagram, follows Daisy Ridley's 2023 appearance where she revealed her involvement in a new Star Wars film. This parallel has fans eagerly anticipating similar news from Isaac.

The Sequel Trilogy concluded in 2019 with The Rise of Skywalker, and Isaac's stance on returning to the franchise has evolved. Initially expressing reluctance (in 2020, stating he'd only return for "another house"), he later shifted to a more open position, telling Variety in 2022 that he was "open to anything."

Isaac's past criticism of Disney, particularly their rejection of his proposed romance between Poe and Finn (played by John Boyega), adds another layer to the intrigue. Boyega also voiced past frustrations with Disney and the franchise but has since expressed openness to future roles.

This confluence of factors fuels speculation about a possible reunion of the Sequel Trilogy's main trio – Rey, Finn, and Poe – in the upcoming Rey film.
