Sony PlayStation State of Play Reportedly Set for Next Week

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 04,2025

Sony's February PlayStation State of Play is reportedly scheduled for next week. Leaker NateTheHate, known for accurately predicting the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal date, hints at a State of Play airing during Valentine's Day week (February 10-14).

Speculation abounds regarding Sony's announcements. Several first-party titles slated for 2025 release are potential candidates. Sucker Punch's Ghost of Yotei could receive a gameplay showcase and release date reveal. Bungie's Marathon, a PvP extraction shooter, might also appear, especially if playtesting plans for this year remain active. Haven Studios' debut title, Fairgames, is another possibility. While less likely, new trailers for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Naughty Dog's newly announced IP, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, could be unveiled. Insomniac's Marvel's Wolverine is also a potential contender.

However, recently canceled live-service projects from Bend Studio and Bluepoint Games (reportedly a God of War live-service title) won't feature. The fate of Guerrilla Games' live-service Horizon project remains uncertain; a reveal is possible.

Which PlayStation Game Are You Most Looking Forward to Seeing at Sony's Next State of Play?

AnswerSee ResultsRegarding third-party titles, Physint (Kojima's stealth-action game) may be too early for a major reveal, while Phantom Blade Zero (S-Game's action RPG) is a stronger possibility.

Microsoft's presence is also noteworthy. A release date for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny could be announced, and the possibility of a Halo port to PlayStation remains a topic of interest.

Last year's State of Play featured Death Stranding 2, Physint, Rise of the Ronin, the Until Dawn remaster, Stellar Blade, Dragon's Dogma 2, Sonic Frontiers, various Silent Hill projects, Judas, Foamstars, and Helldivers 2. This provides a useful benchmark for predicting this year's announcements.
