No Man's Sky: A Comprehensive Guide to Acquiring Solanium

Solanium, a crucial resource in No Man's Sky, is exclusively found on planets with specific climates. This guide details how to locate, farm, and craft Solanium, ensuring you always have a sufficient supply.

Locating Solanium

Image: Planet Scanner Solanium is similar to Frost Crystals but thrives in extreme heat. Before landing, scan planets from your ship. Look for descriptions like "Arid," "Incandescent," "Boiling," or "Scorched" planets, which often indicate Solanium availability.

Remember, you'll need a Haz-Mat Gauntlet to harvest them. While there, collect Phosphorus deposits if available; they're crucial for crafting Solanium.

Farming Solanium

Image: Hydroponic Tray After progressing the Farmer's Agricultural Research mission, you can cultivate Solar Vines. Use a Hydroponic Tray or Bio-Dome, planting vines with 50 Solanium and 50 Phosphorus. Hot planets allow direct ground planting. Harvesting takes roughly 16 real-time hours.

Crafting Solanium

  • Solanium + Phosphorus (to create more Solanium)
  • Phosphorus + Oxygen
  • Phosphorus + Sulphurine
  • Di-hydrogen + Sulphurine

Note: Even Sulphurine-based recipes necessitate a visit to a hot planet. To consistently produce Sulphurine, gathering ample Phosphorus and establishing a base farm is recommended.
