Slime Rancher to release on mobile as the hit PC indie finally makes the jump

We've seen numerous PC and console titles cross over to mobile devices in recent years, spanning both AAA blockbusters and indie gems. Now, publisher Playdigious brings Monomi Park's Slime Rancher to smartphones and tablets, with a release date set for May 26th on iOS and Android.

In Slime Rancher, you assume the role of Beatrix LeBeau, a rancher who ventures into the distant corners of space to cultivate alien creatures known simply as slimes.

Your primary task involves using your vac-pack to capture these charming creatures and bring them back to your base for care. Each slime has unique requirements, so as your population grows, you'll need to expand and upgrade your ranch to accommodate their needs effectively.

Slime Rancher draws clear inspiration from Pikmin. As you traverse the diverse biomes of the Far, Far Range—from the arid Dry Reef to the lush Moss Blanket—you'll encounter various hybrid slime species and environmental challenges.

The game offers three difficulty settings to suit your playstyle: Adventure mode for the standard experience, Casual mode for a relaxed pace, or Rush mode if you're looking for added speed and time-based challenges. Slime Rancher launches on iOS and Android on May 26th with an expected price of $8.99, including a planned 10% launch discount.
