Rest and Recuperation in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: A Guide to Sleeping

Sleep is paramount in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, offering a crucial method of restoring health without relying solely on consumables. This guide details where to find a place to rest your weary head.

Securing a Bed

Early in the game, securing your own bed is a priority. Progressing through either the blacksmith (Radovan) or miller (Kreyzl) questline, as part of the "Wedding Crashers" quest, will grant you access to a bed. Radovan's location in Tachov offers a closer option to your starting point. Completing his smithing tutorial unlocks the adjacent room, containing your designated bed.

Your designated bed in Tachov

This bed will be marked on your world map, and a nearby chest provides convenient storage. Return here whenever you need to replenish your health through rest.

Utilizing Campsites

When immediate access to your bed isn't feasible, numerous campsites scattered throughout the game world offer alternative sleeping spots. While some may be occupied by bandits (requiring prior engagement), others are available for immediate use. These campsites are marked on your map, and interacting with the bedrolls allows for rest. Note that comfort levels are lower than a proper bed, but they suffice in a pinch.

Sleeping in NPC Beds (Proceed with Caution!)

Desperate times may call for desperate measures. Sleeping in an NPC's bed is possible, but carries the risk of being caught and reported to the guards, unless you can successfully de-escalate the situation.
