Saints Hits Digital Following $350M Global Box Office

Ryan Coogler simply can't miss. As Eric Goldman's IGN review notes: "After demonstrating his masterful direction in boxing dramas and superhero films, Coogler ventures into horror with the vampire period piece Sinners. And once again, he excels in this new genre." The film hit theaters on April 18 and has since achieved that coveted mix of commercial success and critical praise.

While seeing Sinners on the biggest screen possible is highly recommended – as Coogler himself would argue – a theater trip isn't always feasible. If you've been waiting to enjoy this vampire story from home, Sinners is now available for digital rental or purchase.

Sinners Arrives on Digital

Sinners

In an attempt to escape their troubled pasts, twin brothers return to their hometown for a fresh start, only to find a far greater evil awaiting their return. Watch it on Prime Video

The digital release comes roughly six weeks after the film's theatrical debut. By comparison, Warfare became available for rental in under four weeks, while Snow White took about two months. These shrinking theatrical windows reflect a broader industry shift and don't diminish the film's accomplishment. Securing six weeks of theatrical exclusivity for an entirely original film is a notable achievement in 2025.

The successes continue beyond that. With a reported budget of $90 million – substantial for a horror film – Sinners managed to recoup its costs effortlessly. According to Box Office Mojo, the film has grossed over $350 million, currently ranking as the eighth highest-grossing movie of 2025. This box office performance is especially impressive for an original R-rated horror film that's still playing in cinemas.

Streaming Release Date

Sinners will eventually stream on HBO Max, as it's distributed by Warner Bros., the parent company of the streaming service. Recent Warner Bros. releases, such as Mickey 17, arrived on streaming just under three months after their theatrical release. Following this pattern, Sinners could debut on HBO Max in mid-July. However, if the film maintains its strong theatrical presence, the streaming release might be delayed further.
