Ten years of peaceful Sims life comes to an end! Burglars are back in The Sims 4, ready to test your security systems. The long-awaited update (though not universally welcomed!) has arrived, as announced by the developers.
Just like in previous games, installing an alarm system is your first line of defense. A triggered alarm summons the police to apprehend the culprit. Skilled Sims can upgrade their alarm system for improved reliability and automatic police alerts. If you're caught off guard without an alarm, you can try calling the police directly – hoping for a swift response – or, perhaps surprisingly, try befriending the burglar.
For those with expansion packs, more creative (and arguably more fun) solutions exist. Unleash your furry friends, summon the supernatural powers of spellcasters, vampires, or werewolves, or even freeze the burglar solid with a special ray!
But don't worry, you don't need any expansions to experience the thrill (or terror) of the burglar update. It's available now, completely free.
