The Sims 1 and 2 Return to PC at Last Today via The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 17,2025

Celebrate 25 years of The Sims with the return of the original games! EA and Maxis are giving fans a fantastic anniversary gift: The Sims Legacy Collection and The Sims 2 Legacy Collection are now available on PC. These comprehensive collections include almost all expansions and stuff packs for each game, offering a complete nostalgic experience.

The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection are available individually or bundled together for $40 in The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle. While The Sims 2 Legacy Collection omits the IKEA Home Stuff pack, both collections boast bonus content: The Sims gets the Throwback Fit Kit, and The Sims 2 receives the Grunge Revival Kit.

This marks the first time in over a decade that both The Sims and The Sims 2 have been readily accessible digitally. The Sims was initially only available on disc, while The Sims 2’s Ultimate Collection was removed from EA’s Origin store. Now, all four main Sims titles are easily purchasable and playable via digital storefronts.

Relive the charm and challenge of these classic games! Despite the series' evolution, the originals remain captivating with their unique gameplay, simplicity, and historical significance. We originally awarded The Sims a 9.5/10 and The Sims 2 an 8.5/10—a testament to their enduring quality.

Grab your copy of The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection today on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app. Happy Simming!
