EA's long-running mobile game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, is officially being discontinued. After a twelve-year run, the game will cease operations in early 2025.

The Shutdown Timeline:

  • In-app purchases are already disabled.
  • October 31st, 2024: The game will be removed from app stores.
  • January 24th, 2025: The game's servers will shut down permanently.

EA expressed gratitude to its players for their decade-long support, highlighting the successful partnership with The Simpsons and The Walt Disney Company. The game allowed players to create and customize their own versions of Springfield.
