New Shining Revelry Expansion for Pokemon TCG Pocket Coming Soon

Author:Kristen Update:May 26,2025

My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket ebbs and flows. I'm deeply engaged when a new set drops and continue playing to earn Emblems by securing around 40 wins. Once I've achieved that, my daily routine simplifies to logging in, opening packs, enjoying a Wonder Pick for fun, and then logging off until the next day. This cycle is set to start afresh with the release of the upcoming expansion, Shining Revelry, on March 27th.

Shining Revelry will bring 110 new cards to the game, featuring an assortment of new Ex Pokemon, Trainers, and those stunning art cards we've grown to adore. The highlight, hinted at by the expansion's name, is the inclusion of Shiny Pokemon! For those new to the concept, Shiny Pokemon are unique color variants of beloved creatures. For instance, Lucario appears in a striking yellow instead of its usual blue, and Pachirisu boasts a charming pink stripe.

The trailer, which you can view below, teases what's to come, and let's delve into it. A new Shiny Charizard Ex will make its debut with 180 HP and an attack named Steam Artillery that inflicts a massive 150 damage. The downside? It requires a hefty five energy cards. However, its other move, Stoke, lets you attach three Fire Energy at once, speeding up the process.

Lucario, previously a supporting player in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, now steps into a more combat-focused role. With 150 HP, it might not seem remarkable, but its Aura Sphere attack, costing three Fighting Energy, deals 100 damage and hits one of your opponent's Benched Pokemon for an additional 30.

The trailer also showcases other cards that, while not game-changers, are certainly noteworthy. Shiny Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are set to join the roster, each looking splendid. Additionally, there's an exquisite Tatsugiri art rare that I'm eager to add to my digital collection.

Pokemon TCG Pocket is available for download on the App Store and Google Play, offering a free-to-play experience with optional in-app purchases. If you're interested, you can get it for your preferred device using the links below.
