Serial Cleaner tasks you with cleaning up crime scenes while under the influence of a moustache

Serial Cleaner, the quirky crime-scene cleanup puzzler, is making a comeback! Originally released in 2019, this title is returning to mobile platforms. However, the extent of the updates remains unclear – will it be a simple port, or a fully polished re-release?

The game throws you into the gritty, yet cartoonish, 1970s. As Bob Leaner, your job is to meticulously erase evidence of mob violence – bodies, bloodstains, the works – all while dodging the ever-watchful police.

Our previous 2019 review deemed Serial Cleaner "half-baked but with potential." Developer Plug-In Digital is now self-publishing this mobile version, suggesting a chance for improvement.

A Funky Return?

Pre-registration is open, with a February 11th, 2025 release date. While significant changes aren't guaranteed, a refined experience would be a welcome update given the mixed initial reception. However, the considerable time elapsed since the original release makes substantial improvements seem less likely.

The core concept remains captivating, but a simple mobile re-release dampens some of the excitement. Nevertheless, Android users who missed out, or those experiencing compatibility issues with older iOS versions, might consider this an early gift.
