Where to Find Sam in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (KCD2)

To achieve the best ending in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, completing specific tasks is crucial, including rescuing Sam. This guide details how to locate and save Sam during the "Reckoning" quest.

Rescuing Sam During "Reckoning"

Near the main quest's conclusion, you discover Sam's captivity at Praguer's Camp, captured by Brabant. You can infiltrate the camp stealthily or forcefully.

A guard's outfit facilitates stealthy entry. While you can kill a guard and steal his clothes (remember to hide the body!), looting chests within the camp provides a less violent alternative. Once equipped, explore the camp unnoticed.

Sam is in the barn to the left of the camp's central fire pit. Access it via a ladder on the barn's side. Inside, you'll confront Brabant. You can choose to kill or spare him; sparing him contributes to the best ending.

The Order of Operations

After freeing Sam, don't immediately leave. He mentions von Aulitz, also in the camp. Prioritize dealing with von Aulitz, then securing a horse, before returning for Sam. This order simplifies the process, as you'll need to carry Sam to the horse.

Von Aulitz is in the main camp area. Your guard disguise allows entry. He's near death; you can offer a dignified death (the most honorable and best ending-contributing option), kill him brutally, or leave him to perish. Leaving him to die contributes to the best ending.

Finally, retrieve Sam from the barn (a guard might question you; claim you're moving a body). Exit the camp, turn right, and find the stables. Choose a horse and escape with Sam, progressing towards the game's conclusion.
