Rumor: One of the Biggest Xbox Franchises Reportedly Coming to Switch 2, PS5

Rumors suggest that Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 are headed to PS5 and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025. This follows Microsoft's recent initiative to expand the availability of its first-party titles to non-Xbox platforms.

This news comes from industry insider NateTheHate, who also predicts that more major Xbox franchises will follow suit. The initial wave of multi-platform releases included Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, and Sea of Thieves, with As Dusk Falls and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 also considered part of this shift. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is slated for a PS5 release in Spring 2025.

NateTheHate's claims regarding Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator (likely referring to MFS 2024) being ported to PS5 and Switch 2 in 2025 have been supported by another insider, Jez Corden, who anticipates significantly more Xbox games becoming multi-platform. Corden believes the era of exclusive Xbox titles is ending.

The future of Call of Duty on Nintendo platforms remains uncertain, although a ten-year agreement ensures its presence on Nintendo consoles. The delay might be attributed to awaiting the release of the more powerful Switch 2, better equipped to handle the game's graphical demands.
