A Plague Tale: Resonance Set for 2026 Release at Xbox Showcase

A new chapter in the A Plague Tale saga is coming! Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy was unveiled during today's Xbox Games Showcase and is slated for a 2026 release.

Resonance serves as a prequel to A Plague Tale, unfolding 15 years before the original game. You'll follow the story of Sophia, a young plunderer on the run, who finds herself on Minotaur's Island. There, she must decode the island's mysteries, discover her own truth, and evade her hunters. The adventure transitions between the Middle Ages and ancient Minoa, challenging Sophia to survive a lethal labyrinth filled with traps and intricate puzzles.

Resonance is in development through the continued collaboration between Focus Entertainment Publishing and Asobo Studio. The game is scheduled to launch in 2026 on Xbox Series, PS5, and Steam, and will be available on Game Pass from day one.

We awarded Innocence a 7/10, praising its "compelling story and finely-tuned stealth, though its rat-plagued world appears more threatening than it actually is." We gave Requiem an 8/10, calling it "an impressive sequel that elevates nearly every aspect of one of my favorite action-adventure games."
