The new Resident Evil 6 remaster might be coming soon

The ESRB has updated the rating for Resident Evil 6, confirming its Mature 17+ rating and adding Xbox Series X|S to the list of supported platforms.

Initially released in 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Resident Evil 6 received a remastered edition in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This new listing strongly suggests an upcoming release optimized for current-gen consoles, likely including PlayStation 5.

Interestingly, the game's genre description has shifted. Previous versions were categorized as "third-person shooters," while the new ESRB entry labels it "survival horror."
