Ubisoft recently unveiled Rainbow Six Siege X, not as a new game, but as a significant upgrade to the existing Rainbow Six Siege experience, ahead of the game's 10th anniversary. This major overhaul will introduce substantial gameplay refinements and improvements.

March 2025 Showcase

A dedicated showcase is planned for March 13th, 2025, at 10:00 am PDT / 1:00 pm EDT in Atlanta, Georgia. This event promises an immersive experience, bringing together players, creators, and developers to unveil the extensive changes coming with Siege X and other surprises. Limited in-person tickets ($10 USD) are available, including an exclusive shirt and in-game cosmetic pack, but attendees must meet specific eligibility criteria:

• Legal resident of the USA or Canada
• At least 18 years old
• Possession of a valid (unbanned) Rainbow Six Siege account

A VIP package giveaway, including hotel, flights, and event access, is also being offered to two lucky fans residing in the USA or Canada.

The update promises "new ways to play, deepened tactical gameplay, refined game feel, and major upgrades." Specific details will be revealed during the March showcase.

10th Anniversary & Season 1: Operation Prep Phase

Rainbow Six Siege, initially launched December 1st, 2015, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC (later ported to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S), is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Season 1, "Operation Prep Phase," launching March 4th, 2025, will include:

• A new operator, Aurora, with deployable bulletproof doors.
• A new elite skin for operator Aruni.
• A new reputation system.

Given the timing of the showcase and Season 10's launch, the major Siege X upgrades will likely be implemented on live servers at a later date.
