New Pokémon Arrive in Pokémon Sleep: Catch Sneasel and Weavile!

Pokémon fans rejoice! New Pokémon have arrived in Pokémon Sleep, adding excitement to your sleep research. As of December 3rd, 2024, Sneasel and its evolution, Weavile, are available to befriend.

Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile

Given their dual Ice/Dark typing in the main series, you might expect to find them in icy locations. In Pokémon Sleep, however, Sneasel and Weavile appear as Dark-type Pokémon. They can be found in two locations:

• Snowdrop Tundra: Their primary habitat.
• Greengrass Isle: Accessible to all players, regardless of progress.

If you're not currently researching on either of these islands, use an EZ Travel Ticket to change your location.

Sleep Types

Both Sneasel and Weavile are Dozing type Pokémon. To increase your chances of encountering them, ensure your sleep type matches "Dozing" for the night. Sneasel is easier to find initially, evolving into Weavile with 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, you'll still need to encounter Weavile in the wild for Sleep Research data.

Are They Worth Befriending?

Sneasel's value lies in its berry gathering ability. As a Dark-type, it collects Wiki Berries, particularly useful in Snowdrop Tundra. It also provides a "Tasty Chance S" skill, boosting dish quality. Its ingredient requirements include sought-after items, making a well-provisioned Sneasel a valuable team member.
