Pokemon GO Reveals Tour Pass for Upcoming Unova Event

Summary

  • A new Tour Pass for Pokémon GO's Unova event will be available from February 24th to March 9th, offering various rewards and milestones.
  • Players earn Tour Points by completing tasks like catching Pokémon, completing raids, and hatching eggs to level up the Pass.
  • A free and a deluxe version of the Tour Pass will be available for purchase.

Pokémon GO has announced a new Tour Pass launching February 24th, adding to the excitement of the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova event. This event focuses on Gen 5 Pokémon, featuring themed wild encounters, raids, and egg spawns.

The annual Pokémon GO Tour celebrates a different region each year, coinciding with Pokémon Day. Previous Tours included Kanto (2021), introducing nine previously unavailable Shiny Pokémon, and Sinnoh (2024), featuring special Pikachu variants and Dialga/Palkia Origin Formes.

The Pokémon GO Tour: Unova Tour Pass, available from February 24th, 10 AM to March 2nd, 6 PM local time, offers a free version. Players earn Tour Points through daily tasks, catching Pokémon, raids, and egg hatching to progress through milestones and receive rewards like Candy and Stickers. Reaching the final milestone unlocks an encounter with a special Zorua. All rewards expire March 9th, 6 PM.

Pokémon GO Announces New Pass for Unova GO Tour

Alongside the free Tour Pass, a deluxe version is available for $14.99 (or $19.99 with 10 unlocked ranks) on the Pokémon GO webstore from February 24th, 10 AM to March 2nd, 6 PM. This grants all free and paid rewards, an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Victini, and a new Lucky Trinket. This single-use item guarantees a Lucky Trade with a chosen friend, resetting their Lucky Friend status afterward. Deluxe Pass rewards, including the Lucky Trinket, also expire March 9th, 6 PM.

This Unova Tour Pass further enhances the anticipation for the event, which includes the debut of Kyurem (Black and White) via fusion, similar to Necrozma in last year's Tour. Shiny Meloetta will also debut via ticketed Masterwork Research.
