Pokemon Go\'s season of debuts continues as Flamigo joins the roster next week

Following Glimmet’s arrival in Pokémon Go via the Into the Depths event, Niantic has already scheduled their next first appearance. This time, a splashier debut is on the horizon as Flamigo stars in a Carnival-themed celebration coming up next week.

The Carnival of Flamigo runs from February 3rd to 8th, introducing Flamigo, the Synchronize Pokémon, for its first appearance in Pokémon Go. Fans of Scarlet and Violet likely anticipated this release, continuing the trend of bringing Gen IX Pokémon like Glimmet and Wattrel into the game recently.

During the event, wild encounters will feature Flamigo alongside Lotad, Buneary, Pikipek, and Spritzee. Shiny hunters have an edge with increased spawn rates for Shiny Lotad, Shiny Spritzee, and Shiny Pikipek.

Several bonuses complete the event package. Both regular Incense and Daily Adventure Incense will last twice as long, while catching Flamigo grants an additional 500 Stardust per catch. Event-specific Field Research tasks and Collection Challenges are also available, rewarding XP, Stardust, and extra encounters upon completion.

A free Timed Research track is open to all players, offering Incense, Stardust, and chances to encounter event Pokémon if completed before the event ends.
