Legendary Dynamax Birds Soar Over Three Weeks

Starting January 20 through February 3, Dynamax forms of Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will dominate the skies in Pokemon GO.

These colossal legendary birds will appear in five-star Max Battles at Power Spots, where players can challenge and capture Dynamax Pokemon. Each bird takes center stage on Mondays during this period. Here’s the schedule:

　⚫︎ Dynamax Zapdos: January 27
　⚫︎ Dynamax Moltres: February 3

Following their debut, each legendary bird remains available for a full week. Additionally, the "Legendary Flight Timed Research" offers chances to capture Pokemon, including those with a higher Shiny probability, ideal for battling these giants. Players can also earn Candy and Max Particles to boost their power. Here’s the Timed Research schedule in local time:

Victini Returns as a Victory Prize

Pokemon GO has shared updates for the global Pokemon GO Tour: Unova event. While the in-person event is limited, all players can upgrade their free Tour Pass to a Tour Pass Deluxe for enhanced rewards and faster progression.

On February 24, 2025, at 10:00 am, all Pokemon GO players will receive a free Tour Pass to collect Tour Points and earn extra rewards through March 2, 6:00 p.m. local time.

Upgrading to Tour Pass Deluxe grants instant access to the Mythical Pokemon Victini and a new Lucky Trinket item upon reaching the top tier. This item lets players set Lucky Friends status with a friend, enabling a trade for a Lucky Pokemon with boosted stats and lower power-up costs. The Lucky Friends status resets after one trade, making it a unique chance for a powerful Pokemon.

The Tour Pass Deluxe costs $14.99 USD, while the Tour Pass Deluxe + 10 Ranks bundle is $19.99 USD. Rewards from these upgrades expire on March 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., so claim them promptly.
