All Playable Races in Avowed

Avowed, set in the rich fantasy world of Eora (from the Pillars of Eternity series), offers a diverse range of races, though character creation options are somewhat limited at launch. Here's a breakdown of the playable races:

Humans (Folk)

Humans, or Folk, are the most common race in Avowed, reflecting their prevalence in the game's world. The human character customization is extensive, providing numerous presets, detailed facial features, skin tone options, and diverse hairstyles.

Elves

Elves are another playable race, visually similar to humans but distinguished by their pointed ears and slightly different facial structures.

Godlikes

While all Envoys are Godlikes in the game's narrative, players can choose to incorporate Godlike features into their character's appearance. These features include unique hairstyles and facial structures, ranging from subtle to striking, with 14 facial and 4 hair options available at launch. These options are available regardless of chosen race or body type.

Character Customization Options: Gender and Pronouns

Avowed offers four body types: two masculine and two feminine. Two masculine and two feminine voice options are also available. Players can select their character's pronouns (he, she, or they), further enhancing character personalization.

Unplayable Races

While several other races populate Eora (Dwarves, Aumaua, Orlans), they are currently not playable in Avowed. However, future updates or DLC may expand character creation options to include these races.
