The short answer is: not yet, officially. However, the existing romance system, even without dedicated "date" events, is incredibly engaging and well worth the investment.

The November 2024 update expanded the romance system from four to six hearts, adding new events and cutscenes at key relationship milestones (two, four, and six hearts). Future updates promise even more, but the March 2025 update won't include a heart cap increase or additional events.

While the lack of explicit dating might initially disappoint, the current implementation shines due to its realistic and subtly flirtatious dialogue. Even early interactions, while seemingly platonic, leave room for romantic interpretation, creating a satisfyingly gradual progression.

A significant addition in the last update was the Shooting Star Festival. Reaching four hearts with a romanceable NPC unlocks a date-like experience during this summer event. Note that Caldarus's participation currently differs slightly.

The upcoming March 2025 update may alter this, particularly with the planned expansion of Caldarus's romance storyline.

In conclusion, while dedicated date events aren't yet present, Fields of Mistria offers a rich and rewarding romance experience in its current state. The existing system provides ample romantic interaction to keep players engaged until full dating mechanics are implemented.
