Path of Exile 2 Ascendancy Guide: Unlock Your Class Potential

Path of Exile 2's Early Access has players eager to master their chosen classes. While subclasses aren't a core feature, Ascendancies provide specialized abilities and unique playstyles. This guide explains how to unlock and utilize them.

Unlocking Ascendancies

To unlock Ascendancy Classes, complete a Trial of Ascendancy. In Early Access, choose between the Act 2 Trial of the Sekhemas or the Act 3 Trial of Chaos. Completing either unlocks Ascendancy selection and rewards two passive Ascendancy Points. The earlier Act 2 trial is recommended for quicker access to enhanced abilities.
