Official: Dungeonborne is preparing to shut down

Dungeonborne, the PvPvE action game drawing inspiration from the popular title Dark and Darker, has met an untimely end. Its creators have announced the cessation of support and the imminent closure of its servers, bringing a curtain down on a project that lasted less than a year. Low player activity and a lack of substantial updates ultimately led to the game's demise.

While Dungeonborne remains accessible via a direct link to its Steam page, it's no longer discoverable through the platform's search function. The developers haven't publicly detailed the reasons for the shutdown, but the extremely low player count is undoubtedly a significant factor. Since late 2024, concurrent player numbers rarely exceeded 200, dwindling to a mere 10-15 players in recent days.

May 28th marks the final day for Dungeonborne's servers. This closure concludes the game's short lifespan, leaving a promising concept unrealized and a genre enthusiast's curiosity unsatisfied.
