Nintendo and LEGO Team Up Again: A LEGO Game Boy is Coming!

LEGO Game Boy Release: October 2025

Nintendo has revealed its next collaboration with LEGO: a buildable LEGO Game Boy! Launching October 2025, this follows the successful LEGO NES release.

While exciting news for fans of both brands, the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) sparked a flurry of comments about the anticipated Nintendo Switch 2. Some users humorously suggested this LEGO Game Boy was the long-awaited new console reveal.

Although details on the Switch 2 remain scarce, Nintendo President Furukawa confirmed on May 7, 2024, that an announcement regarding the Switch successor is planned for their current fiscal year (ending March).

Pricing for the LEGO Game Boy hasn't been disclosed yet, but further information is promised in the coming weeks and months.

Previous Nintendo x LEGO Collaborations

Beyond the LEGO NES, Nintendo and LEGO have previously partnered to create sets featuring iconic characters from popular franchises like Super Mario, Animal Crossing, and The Legend of Zelda (TLZ).

In May 2024, LEGO released a 2,500-piece set based on the Great Deku Tree from Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild, including Princess Zelda and the Master Sword. This set retails at $299.99 USD.

Two months later, a Super Mario World set featuring Mario riding Yoshi was launched. This unique set uses a crank mechanism to animate Yoshi's leg movement, priced at $129.99 USD.
