Hotta Studios is gearing up for the very first closed beta test of their much-anticipated 3D open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness. Unfortunately, this beta is exclusively for players residing in mainland China, leaving eager fans elsewhere to wait on the sidelines. However, there's still a lot to look forward to as the game progresses towards its full release.

According to Gematsu, some intriguing new lore details have been released. If you've seen the trailers showcasing the city of Eibon, the latest updates might not come as a surprise. These updates hint at a slightly more comedic tone to the story, blending the bizarre with everyday life in the city of Hetherau.

Hotta Studios, a subsidiary of Perfect World—the creators of the popular Tower of Fantasy—brings their expertise to Neverness to Everness. While the game fits snugly within the 3D RPG genre, it introduces unique elements to distinguish itself, especially with its urban flair.

Never say ever...againOne standout feature is open-world driving. Thrill-seekers can race through the city streets at high speeds, but be warned: crashes are as realistic and destructive as they are in real life. Customize and purchase a variety of cars to feed your inner speed demon—just remember to drive safely!

Upon its release, Neverness to Everness will face tough competition. MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero has already set a high bar for 3D open-world RPGs on mobile, while NetEase's Naked Rain is developing Ananta (previously known as Project Mugen), which targets a similar setting. Despite the challenges, Neverness to Everness is poised to make its mark with its unique blend of features and storytelling.
