Neil Druckmann's new game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, sparked diverse reactions upon its reveal, with initial details about its setting now emerging. Druckmann discussed the project on the Creator to Creator show.

The game unfolds in an alternate future branching from our reality in the late 1980s. A new religion rises to prominence in the Intergalactic universe, its lore meticulously crafted by Naughty Dog, spanning from its founding prophet to its later evolutions and distortions.

This faith originates and flourishes on a single planet, eventually isolated from the rest of the galaxy. The protagonist crash-lands on this secluded world.

She awakens in a desolate place, forced to survive in solitude. This theme of isolation is central to the game. Druckmann noted that, unlike Naughty Dog’s past titles with conversational companions, players must navigate this world alone to escape the planet.

Despite four years in development, no release date has been hinted at. Fans await further updates.
