Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage Prepares for End of Service

Bandai Namco's popular fortress strategy RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, is officially shutting down. This isn't unexpected for many players, mirroring the fate of other Naruto gacha games like Naruto Blazing.

Shutdown Date:

After nearly seven years (launching in 2017), the game will cease operations on December 9th, 2024. Players can continue enjoying the game until then.

Final Events:

Several events are planned before the end:

  • Village Leader World Championship: October 8th - 18th
  • All-Out Mission: October 18th - November 1st
  • "Thanks For Everything" Campaign: November 1st - December 1st

Players can still collect Ninja Cards, participate in summoning events, and utilize in-game items until the final day. It's recommended to spend any remaining Gold Coins.

Reasons for Closure:

While initially successful with its balanced village-building, trap-setting, and defense mechanics, the game's decline began around its mid-life. The introduction of Minato triggered a noticeable power creep, alienating many players. This was further exacerbated by increasingly blatant pay-to-win elements, reduced free-to-play rewards, and the near-disappearance of multiplayer features. These factors ultimately led to the game's inevitable closure. The game remains available on the Google Play Store for those who wish to try it.
