Morikomori: Ghibli-Style Social Life Simulator

Morikomori Life is officially available on Android and iOS, currently limited to the Japanese market. This release is published by Realfun Studio. The game was previously launched in China by Level Infinite, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, but that version was discontinued approximately a year ago.

The Countryside Farming Simulator Returns

A standout feature of the game is its visual presentation. The developers have masterfully captured a comforting, cozy atmosphere through art inspired by anime—specifically, the iconic style of Studio Ghibli. This isn't a generic AI-generated look; the scenes genuinely appear as if they were lifted directly from a Ghibli film.

In terms of story, you take on the role of Kaon, a young woman who receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother, inviting her back to the village. She returns to Komori, the rural setting of her childhood memories.

From there, your journey involves rediscovering the simple joys of a tranquil life. The 3D cel-shaded graphics render the Japanese landscapes with a warmth that authentically evokes the real countryside.

Morikomori Life Offers a Genuine Slow-Living Experience

The gameplay focuses on everyday slice-of-life activities. You'll farm, cook, fish, hunt, and even construct your own home. Exploration involves chopping wood, mining for ores, and discovering rare materials.

As you gather resources, you unlock new upgrades for your house and ways to enhance your lifestyle. You can customize Kaon's outfits, befriend villagers, prepare meals with foraged ingredients, and assist locals with various tasks.

The game allows for deep character customization to express your personal style. An open-world element provides the freedom to roam and encounter delightful, unexpected moments.

Morikomori Life is currently available on Android in Japan. Players in the region can find it on the Google Play Store. There is no confirmed information yet regarding a global release.
