Moon Knight Will Return, but Not in a Season 2, Marvel Exec Says

Marvel's Moon Knight: Future Appearances Confirmed, Season 2 Unlikely

While a second season of Moon Knight on Disney+ is off the table, Marvel Studios head Brad Winderbaum assures fans that Oscar Isaac's character will reappear in the MCU. This shift in strategy reflects a change in Marvel Television's approach. Previously, standalone series served as character introductions for later film appearances (like Ms. Marvel leading into The Marvels). Now, the focus is on creating self-contained, annual series, more akin to traditional television programming.

Winderbaum clarified this change in direction, stating that while he'd personally love a Season 2, future Moon Knight appearances are planned, but not in the form of a direct sequel. Isaac's voice work as Moon Knight in Marvel's What If...? is a testament to the character's continued presence within the MCU.

The upcoming MCU Disney+ slate includes Daredevil: Born Again (March), Ironheart (June), Eyes of Wakanda (August), Marvel Zombies (October), and Wonder Man (December). Recent reports of paused production on Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc. have been addressed, with Winderbaum hinting at the possibility of a Defenders reunion featuring Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist.
