Monster Hunter Wilds Gets PC Benchmark and New System Requirements

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 17,2025

Monster Hunter Wilds is almost here, and Capcom has just released a PC benchmark tool on Steam to help you check if your system's ready for the hunt. Even better, they've also lowered the official PC system requirements!

Capcom's benchmark tool lets you easily test your PC's performance. It's a quick and easy way to see if you'll meet the updated requirements, especially given the recent changes.

Previously, hitting 1080p at 60fps with Frame Generation required a powerful setup. But now, the recommended specs for smooth gameplay are significantly more accessible:

Updated Recommended System Requirements (1080p/60fps with Frame Generation):

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-10400, Intel Core i3-12100, or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: 16 GB
  • Graphics Card (GPU): GeForce RTX 2060 Super or Radeon RX 6600 (8 GB VRAM)
  • Storage: 75 GB SSD (Solid State Drive required)

These updated specs should allow for a smooth 1080p/60fps experience with Frame Generation enabled, according to Capcom. The changes represent a noticeable improvement in accessibility.

Early benchmark results show improved performance compared to the beta, particularly with Frame Generation enabled. However, Steam Deck compatibility still seems questionable.

Beyond the CPU changes, the storage requirement is notably reduced from 140 GB to 75 GB. This is a welcome change, especially considering the increasing size of modern game files.
