Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Returns

Monster Hunter: Wilds' Second Open Beta Dates Announced

Capcom has announced the dates for the second open beta of its highly anticipated title, Monster Hunter: Wilds, set to run across two weekends in February 2025. This follows the successful first beta test in late 2024, offering players another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28, 2025. Monster Hunter: Wilds is poised to be a landmark entry in the franchise, promising a massive open world brimming with diverse environments and challenging monsters.

The second open beta, available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam, will run during the following periods (Pacific Time):

  • Weekend 1: February 6th, 7:00 PM – February 9th, 6:59 PM
  • Weekend 2: February 13th, 7:00 PM – February 16th, 6:59 PM

Returning Content and New Challenges

Capcom confirmed that all content from the first beta will return, including character creation, the story trial, and the Doshaguma hunt. A new addition is a hunt featuring the popular Gypceros monster. Players who participated in the first beta can even carry over their existing characters, eliminating the need to recreate them.

Addressing Player Feedback

While the initial beta was well-received, some players expressed concerns regarding visual aspects like textures and lighting, and weapon gameplay feel. Capcom assures players that feedback is being actively addressed, and significant improvements are underway before the game's launch.

A Crucial Beta Test

With less than two months until release, this second beta is vital for both Capcom and the fans. It offers a final chance to fine-tune the experience and further build anticipation for what promises to be a major release in the Monster Hunter series. Whether a returning veteran or a first-time hunter, February 2025 is shaping up to be a thrilling month for fans worldwide.
