Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta: Cross-Play Confirmed, Launching Next Week!

Capcom's recent showcase unveiled exciting new details for Monster Hunter Wilds, including an upcoming open beta test. Prepare to hunt!

Open Beta Access:

The open beta launches next week across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, featuring full cross-play functionality. PlayStation Plus subscribers on PS5 enjoy early access, starting October 28th, while everyone else joins the hunt from October 31st to November 3rd. Pre-downloads begin October 27th (PS Plus) and October 30th (all others). Ensure you have at least 18GB of free space.

Open Beta Content:

The beta includes character creation (with progress carrying over to the full game!), a story trial (featuring a battle against Chatacabra), and a challenging Doshaguma Hunt (supporting multiplayer or NPC hunters).

Beta Rewards:

All beta participants receive exclusive in-game rewards, including a Palico pendant and an item pack with Mega Potions, Rations, and more, redeemable upon the full game's release on February 28th, 2025.

New Trailer and Locale:

The "Black Flame" trailer showcases the Oilwell Basin, a new fiery locale with unpredictable oil well eruptions, introducing new monsters like the Ajarakan and Rompopolo, and the fearsome apex predator, the Black Flame.
