Monster Hunter Now Tests New Monster Outbreaks Feature

Exciting times are ahead for fans of Monster Hunter Now, as Niantic introduces a new feature called Monster Outbreaks. This innovative addition is currently in the testing phase, where Niantic aims to gather player feedback and fine-tune the feature before its official launch.

When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?

The testing phase for Monster Outbreaks will take place from April 26th to April 27th. Each day, the event will occur twice, from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., according to local time. During these designated hours, specific outbreak points on the map will see a surge of 8-star Black Diablos. The goal is for players to collaborate and take down a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak location within the one-hour window. It's important to note that this count is per location, not a global total.

To participate, you must have a Hunter Rank (HR) of 11 or higher. Additionally, the party feature is disabled for this event, meaning only in-person group hunts will be valid.

Outbreak points are easily identifiable on the map with a unique icon. By tapping on these icons, players can access detailed information about the outbreak and even sign up on a roster to coordinate with others.

The mechanics of the slay count are particularly intriguing. If you hunt with three other players and successfully take down one Black Diablos, it counts as four toward the goal of 100. Should your group reach the 100-monster target before the time limit expires, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour.

Successful completion of the 100-monster goal comes with rewarding loot, including 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Moreover, participants who utilize the sign-up roster can earn an exclusive Outbreak Test I Medal.
