Monster Hunter Now Season 5: The Blossoming Blade Is Landing Soon!

Monster Hunter Now is gearing up for an exciting launch of its Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, scheduled to kick off on March 6th, 2025. Niantic has shared all the juicy details about what fans can expect from this upcoming season, including new challenges, weapons, a Season Pass, and a roster of fearsome monsters.

Getting Ready for Monster Hunter Now Season 5

Before the season officially starts, players will be treated to a special preview with the arrival of Chatacabra on February 28th. This marks its grand debut before its first-ever appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. Once Season 5 launches, players will also encounter Glavenus and Arzuros joining the fray.

Weapons in Monster Hunter Now are set to receive balance adjustments to enhance their viability and fun factor. The Sword & Shield, for instance, is getting a significant buff that will make targeting breakable parts like tails much easier. Additionally, the Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will now reward players with stronger performance for well-timed taps, leading to more satisfying combos.

The Guard skill is also in for an upgrade. Previously, leveling up Guard had minimal impact, but now, higher skill levels will effectively reduce the damage taken when blocking. More details on these tweaks and other adjustments will be unveiled in the full patch notes on March 6th.

And There Is More!

For those struggling with inventory management, Monster Hunter Now Season 5 introduces an Item Box Expansion available as a Supply Item. This expansion will provide an additional 250 slots, helping you keep your gear organized.

As part of Monster Hunter Now’s 1.5-Year Anniversary celebration on March 17th, a new feature will be introduced. This feature allows players to trade special materials earned from hunts and events for a variety of rewards, including Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards.
