Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Release Date Finally Confirmed — Officially This Time

Author:Kristen Update:Feb 23,2025

The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was officially revealed during Sony's State of Play 2025 presentation, confirming the previously leaked August 28, 2025 launch. A new trailer debuted alongside the announcement, mirroring the one that prematurely appeared on the PlayStation Store.

Intriguingly, the presentation also hinted at an Ape Escape crossover, concluding with a cryptic "And More," suggesting additional collaborations are in the works. This first crossover appears to be a nod to the original Metal Gear Solid 3's monkey minigame, where Snake used stun grenades and his unique weapon to subdue the primates.

PlayWhile boasting a new first-person perspective, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater largely remains a faithful recreation of its predecessor. IGN's preview described it as a "very shiny HD remaster," praising its visual fidelity but noting its almost overly-strict adherence to the original game's design.
