Mass Effect TV Series Eyes Original Voice Cast

Jennifer Hale, the iconic voice of FemShep in the original Mass Effect trilogy, expresses her enthusiasm for Amazon's upcoming live-action adaptation. She's keen to participate in the series and advocates for reuniting as much of the original voice cast as possible.

Amazon's Mass Effect series, currently in development at Amazon MGM Studios, faces the unique challenge of adapting the game's branching narrative and customizable protagonist, Commander Shepard. The casting of Shepard, in particular, will be crucial, as players have formed strong personal connections with their own versions of the character.

In a recent interview with Eurogamer, Hale voiced her desire to be involved, emphasizing the exceptional talent within the voice acting community. She believes that leveraging the original voice actors would be a shrewd move, stating, "The voice acting community are some of the most brilliant performers I've ever met [...] So I'm ready for the smart production company that stops overlooking that gold mine."

Hale naturally favors a live-action portrayal reflecting her own FemShep, but expresses openness to any role within the show. She also expresses excitement about the possibility of returning for future Mass Effect video game installments.

The Mass Effect universe boasts a memorable ensemble of characters, brought to life by a diverse cast of voice actors and celebrities. The return of actors like Brandon Keener (Garrus Vakarian), Raphael Sbarge (Kaidan Alenko), or Hale herself would undoubtedly delight long-time fans of the franchise. The inclusion of the original voice cast would add a layer of authenticity and nostalgia to Amazon's live-action adaptation.
